Five Star Development

For more than three decades, Jerry Ayoub, founder of Five Star Development, a leading real estate development company headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., has been one of the industry’s most innovative and successful entrepreneurs. Ayoub’s projects range from five-star hospitality and luxury retail to high-end, multimillion dollar residential and Class-A industrial projects in Arizona, California, Texas and New Mexico.

His record for success extends to the early days of his career in the luxury duty-free industry when he established operations on the U.S. borders of Mexico and Canada. Product categories ranged from world-renowned designer goods including ne jewelry, accessories, perfume and ready- to-wear to re ned spirits. Some of the brands represented included Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Hermès, Chanel, Gucci and Lalique.

Founded in 1985, Five Star has developed more than 20 million square feet of residential, hospitality, retail, of ce and industrial real estate. Ayoub’s vision for the company has always been to combine the most innovative development practices with technologically advanced systems that are cutting-edge and environmentally sustainable. Home to more than 100 exceptional boutiques, The Palmeraie® will also include a dozen dining destinations featuring celebrated international chefs and favorite local and regional talents. A future phase is expected to include a selection of collectible luxury residences and a boutique hotel. Connected by lush walking paths and accented with water features, The Palmeraie® is the sister community that helps make up the 122-acre, $2 billion master-planned community of The Ritz-Carlton, Paradise Valley. The development is one of the largest undertakings in close to a decade to feature a Ritz-Carlton hotel and is surrounded by fully serviced, multimillion dollar residences.
